Post 7: My career
I am currently studying Music Theory degree. When observing the curricular mesh of the career, there is a lot of variety. The truth is that it is an extensive career, it is four years bachelor's degree and two years of the specialty. n the first four years, Musical Language is the main branch, there are two years of guitar and functional piano in parallel being these classes collectively, then in the followng years you specialize in one of these instruments having individual classes with a teacher. There are also branches focused on research and analysis: the first year branch is music research, in second year music, culture and society, in third year music research and analysis workshop and music research and finally in fourth year it is called music research and analysis seminar. The career has four years of the subject of musical practice, in wich musical montage are made. In first year there is a semester of learning to use digital programs, there are two years of polyphony. There is the subject of vocal workshop, musical direction, intrumentation and musical arrangements and in the third year a semester of practice is carried out somewhere. Finally the last two years are specialized , in wich there are two options: teaching or choral direction.
Although despite the varied mesh, the general focus of the career is too academic and western, leaving aside the popular, so I think a new focus work on that is very necessary.
On the other hand, the academic loard is very large, wich mainly hurts my personal music projects. Maybe with time I will see these years and all the learning with greater perspective.
As for the building of the faculty of arts, the conditions are lamentable, this is the reflection of a country that has zero artistic culture, starting with the government.
yes, it's such a shame we are studying so precariously.
